Auckland Tāmaki Makaurau

Set between two sparkling harbours, Auckland Tāmaki Makaurau offers an inspiring backdrop for conference delegates from across Aotearoa and beyond. As New Zealand’s largest city, it combines world-class infrastructure with stunning natural beauty, creating a destination that is both productive and unforgettable.

Auckland is the country’s economic and innovation hub, home to leading businesses, universities, and modern event venues. Excellent air connectivity, efficient transport, and a wide range of accommodation options make attending a conference here seamless and accessible.

Beyond the conference programme, delegates can experience the rich cultural heritage of Tāmaki Makaurau — meaning “desired by many.” Enjoy vibrant dining precincts, waterfront walks, nearby islands, volcanic landscapes, and renowned wine regions, all just moments from the city centre.

Dynamic, welcoming, and uniquely positioned between land and sea, Auckland Tāmaki Makaurau is more than a host city — it’s a destination that elevates the conference experience and invites delegates to stay, explore, and connect.

Climate

July in Auckland is winter, bringing cool, wet, and windy weather with average highs around 14°C (57°F) and lows near 11°C (51°F), frequent rain (often light), and more cloudy days, so pack layers, a waterproof jacket, and a beanie for chilly nights. It's one of the wettest months, but days start getting a bit longer, and you'll need warm clothing for the brisk conditions.

Auckland airport

Auckland Airport is located 20 kilometres south of Auckland's CBD in the suburb of Mangere.

All major rental car agencies have service desks located at Auckland airport and the airport is serviced by shuttles, taxis and bus services.
